Welcome to the Heart Clinic at Vale Healthcare
The Vale Cardiologists aim to provide a comprehensive private cardiology service which encompasses cardiovascular screening through to the management of complex end stage heart disease.
Located in both The Vale Hospital and Cardiff Bay, the Vale Healthcare Cardiology Clinic offers multiple consulting rooms across different sites, a fixed site MRI scanner (at our Cardiff Bay Clinic) and cardiology testing among its many state-of-the-art heart care facilities.
The Cardiology Clinic exists to help patients reduce the risk of heart disease, heart attack, and stroke, but also to provide care for patients who suffer from angina or who have had a heart attack, heart surgery, other heart procedures and coronary heart disease.
The cardiology team comprises of six private heart specialists, each with a specific area of speciality to provide a complete range of services for all heart conditions. A daily private clinic service is provided allowing for rapid access for early assessment of patients with chest pain and possible symptoms of angina.

Heart Attack
A heart attack, also known as myocardial infarction, is when part of the heart muscle dies because it has been starved of oxygen. A heart attack usually occurs when a blood clot forms in one the blood vessels that lead to the heart muscle, blocking the blood supply to the heart.
