Dean Edward Boyce is a senior plastic surgeon, based in South Wales, and privately consults at the Vale Hospital - south Wales' leading hospital for plastic and cosmetic surgery. Mr Boyce brings many years' experience to his private cosmetic surgery clinics in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan, leading a dedicated team of plastic surgeons, nurses and support staff to deliver the safest and highest quality of care.

Mr Boyce graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Wales College of Medicine in Cardiff, South Wales, 1990. After a distinguished period of surgical training in the United Kingdom at several major teaching hospitals in Wales, Birmingham, Manchester and Sydney, Australia, he was appointed as Consultant Plastic and Hand Surgeon to the Welsh Centre for Plastic Surgery in 2003, and elected to the UK Specialist Register for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.

He was awarded a Postgraduate Doctorate in Medicine after scientific research into human and scarless wound healing, and was appointed as Hunterian Professor by the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2002, and maintains strong academic interests. He has published widely in the Plastic Surgery literature, having authored many papers and book chapters. He lectures widely in Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery.

He is a clinical tutor in Plastic Surgery for the University of Wales and is Program Director for Plastic Surgery Specialist Training in Wales. He is the Regional Specialist Advisor for Plastic Surgery for the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Mr Boyce is on the scientific committee of Aesthetics Today, a leading international cosmetic medicine meeting. He has appeared in the national and local press and had given interviews as an opinion leader on television programmes such as The One Show.

Mr Boyce holds weekly consultation clinics at Vale Healthcare's Vale Hospital.

Jo Ferriday has been nursing since 2004 and has worked across a range of departments including dialysis, intensive care, and outpatients. She joined Vale Healthcare in May 2010 and is based at The Vale Hospital in the Vale of Glamorgan and Cardiff Bay Clinic in Cardiff, South Wales.

Jo is also fully qualified in providing anti-wrinkle treatments (Botox), Dermal Fillers, and trained in Harley Street in London with KT training,

Jo has a specialist interest in aesthetic and cosmetic treatments and works closely with Vale Healthcare’s cosmetic surgeons, offering a nurse consultation available to all cosmetic patients, which can take place before an appointment with one of the consultants. This is free of charge, and allows patients to cosmetic surgery options prior to a full consultation.

Dr Sharmila Gaitonde

Sharmila Gaitonde is a Cosmetic Dentist at Vale Healthcare, south Wales' premier private clinics and private hospital in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales.

Dr Gaitonde has a specialist interest in facial aesthetics and facial makeovers. She works in a mixed practice in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales. 

Sharmila graduated from Mumbai, India from one of the Premier institutions Nair Hospital Dental College. She came to the UK in 1993 and after gaining her statutory exam with the GDC started in General Practice in South Wales.

Mr Amar Ghattaura is a Consultant Cosmetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgeon at Vale Healthcare, running private clinics from the
Cardiff Bay Clinic and the Vale Hospital.

Mr Ghattaura's current NHS base is in Morriston Hospital (in Swansea) where he works as a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, subspecialising in Breast surgery and leading on Microsurgical services.

He is currently an NHS Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Morriston Hospital, Swansea with a specialist interest in breast surgery. Mr Ghattaura also consults at the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport. In Mr Ghattaura’s NHS practice he is the Clinical Lead for Microsurgical services and has a specialist interest in breast reconstruction following cancer surgery.
 
Over the last 12 years of working in the field of Plastic Surgery Mr Ghattaura has worked in many prestigious Plastic Surgery units in the UK including the Royal Marsden Hospital, London, Great Ormond Street and the Oxford Radcliffe Infirmary. As well a gaining valuable experience of breast surgery in Harley Street, London, he has been trained in breast surgery at the University Hospital Ghent, Belgium.

Mr Ghattaura has published extensively in the medical literature and has contributed a chapter to the breast reconstruction book "Oncoplastic Surgery of the breast". He has lectured both in the UK as well as Plastic Surgery meetings abroad to international audiences. Mr Ghattaura is dedicated to training the next generation of Plastic Surgeons and writes lectures as part of the national e-learning for health programme for Plastic Surgery.

Mr Ghattaura also provides expert advise on all Plastic Surgery matters and has recently been interviewed by ITV regarding the PIP breast issue.

Mr Richard Karoo FRCS(Plast) is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon who consults in Cosmetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery. Richard brings extensive cosmetic surgery experience gained both in the UK and abroad to his private cosmetic surgery clinics in South Wales' leading private clinics and private hospital in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

He has co-authored over 50 peer reviewed publications, presented at multiple national and international meetings and been an invited speaker at the Royal College of Surgeons of England Breast Surgery Education Day.

Having produced Breast Surgery Information Animation packages for those patients considering Cosmetic and Reconstructive Breast Surgery, commercial sponsorship has now allowed for over 14,000 copies to be made freely available to patients in English & German for world distribution.

Richard was also awarded the John Barron Prize by the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeons for his work on Breast Reconstruction using new techniques brought over from Europe.

Mr Mohammed Muhtaseb offers wrinkle-reducing treatment at Vale Healthcare’s Cardiff Bay Clinic. He is an established Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon with special expertise in cornea, cataract and laser refractive surgery.

Antonio Orlando is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon, who runs private clinics from Vale Healthcare's Vale Hospital - in Hensol, Vale of Glamorgan. Mr Orlando brings a wealth of experience in private cosmetic surgery to his cosmetic surgery clinics at Vale Healthcare, South Wales. Born in Trento, Italy in 1964, Antonio Orlando attended the University of Florence where he graduated with honours in 1988 gaining his first exposure to Plastic Surgery in Head and Neck reconstruction. Upon graduation he was accepted on to a training program in the School of Specialisation in Otolaryngology (ENT) of the same University.

In November 1996 he trained and specialised in Plastic Surgery with honours at the School of Specialisation in Plastic Surgery at the University of Parma, including a one year rotation in the Department of Plastic Surgery at Frenchay Hospital in Bristol. He then came back to the UK where he undertook further training in Bristol as a Specialist Registrar in Plastic Surgery and two fellowships in Head and Neck Surgery in Belfast and in Amsterdam before being appointed as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon in Frenchay Hospital, (North Bristol NHS Trust) in 1999.

Antonio is a Diplomate of the European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a Member of BAAPS (British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) where he is the BAAPS’ point of contact for queries relating to Rhinoplasty (nose reshaping).

His cosmetic surgery training has progressed parallel to his reconstructive interest since the early stage of his plastic surgery training. He has worked and trained in cosmetic surgery in Florence, Parma and Bristol and he also regularly attends numerous courses and meetings in the UK, Europe and America.

Antonio is fully trained and qualified to practice cosmetic surgery. He is on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council for Plastic Surgery since 1997 (n. 4083711).

Richard Parkin is an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon, who performs all cosmetic and plastic surgery of the face, practicing throughout Cardiff, Newport, and the whole of south Wales and as a private Oral and Maxillofacial & cosmetic surgery consultant at Vale Healthcare near Cardiff, South Wales.

Richard's special interests include facial cosmetic surgery and all aspects of surgery of the mouth, face, neck and jaws. He is a member of the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Association of Facial Plastic Surgeons. He is an honorary clinical tutor for Cardiff Medical / Dental School in South Wales and is a peer reviewer for the Journal of the Royal College of Surgeons.

Before locating in South Wales, Richard was born and educated in Yorkshire, obtaining both a medical degree from Southampton University and a dental degree with distinction. He won the prize for oral and maxillofacial surgery before completing full surgical training for the FRCS.

Richard undertook his higher surgical training on the All Wales programme and obtained his Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in 2006. He holds a Fellowship in Maxillofacial Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and the Fellowship in Dental Surgery from both London and Edinburgh.

His NHS appointment is Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeon at the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport where he is lead clinician for surgery and reconstruction of head and neck / facial deformities following cancer, he also reconstructs faces after trauma and developmental conditions along with provision of a routine oral and maxillofacial service.

He lives in Cardiff, South Wales, with his partner Jayne a GP, and their two young children, Rhys and Jessica who are all Welsh speakers forcing him to keep up! In his spare time he is an avid sports fan particularly rugby and has recently taken up cycling.
