The Gastroenterology Clinic at the Cardiff Bay Clinic is led by Dr Sunil Dolwani, a Consultant Gastroenterologist. Dr. Dolwani has clinics in Gastroenterology at both the University Hospital of Wales and University Hospital Llandough in Cardiff.

At Vale Healthcare he has recruited a team of highly qualified specialists to provide a comprehensive and integrated service with a multidisciplinary approach to the management of bowel conditions.

The clinic is able to offer a comprehensive range of general gastroenterology consults from the diagnosis of Irritable bowel syndrome to inflammatory bowel disease.

Through the use of endoscopy and colonoscopy techniques, we are able to offer patients a minimally invasive alternative to surgery. Endoscopic procedures include diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower gastro-intestinal procedures, including for colorectal cancer screening.

  • indigestion
  • dyspepsia like symptoms
  • diarrhoea
  • anaemia
  • inflammatory bowel disease (Ulcerative colitis & Crohn’s)
