Welcome to the Groin and Sports Hernia Clinic at Vale Healthcare
The Vale Healthcare Groin and Sports Hernia Clinic is based in the heart of the Cardiff Bay, and provides an out-patient service providing expertise and high quality care for all patients with conditions affecting the groin and pelvis.
The Groin and Sports Hernia Clinic is lead by Mr Alan Woodward a Consultant general and laparoscopic Surgeon. Mr Woodward specialises in the surgical and non-surgical treatment of all conditions relating to the groin. Mr Woodward has 15 years’ experience in diagnosing groin problems and he has operated on hundreds of groin pain patients including elite athletes. Mr Woodward has treated many male and female patients with these problems.
To ensure the highest quality of care, Mr Woodward provides the medical and surgical care together with experienced specialised senior physiotherapists who provide the rehabilitation services.
