Mr Khitish Mohanty is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in complex trauma, knee and hip surgery. Mr Mohanty works as a private orthopaedics consultant at Vale Healthcare, South Wales' leading private clinic and private hospital in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.
Mr Mohanty has obtained fellowship level training in pelvic and hip socket surgery from Canada and higher training in lower limb arthroplasty from Oswestry. His special interest includes pregnancy related pelvic conditions, Sacroiliac joint disorders, hip resurfacing, partial and total knee replacements and complex traumatic conditions of the elbow.
Khitish routinely performs a high volume of knee and hip replacement procedures and knee arthroscopy treatments. Khitish Moharty performs computer guided hip resurfacing and open surgery for hip impingement. He also provides regional service for various conditions of pelvis and hip socket. Khitish is a specialist in complex limb trauma and deals with post traumatic conditions such as nonunion, malunion and joint stiffness.
Khitish Moharty is a consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Cardiff and Vale Trust in South Wales, UK, working at both University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff and Llandough Hospital in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales. He carries out his private clinic practice from Vale Healthcare, Cardiff.
After completing basic surgical training in India, Khitish Moharty joined the All Wales Orthopaedic training programme and completed his training with a specialised fellowship at the University of Calgary, Canada. Apart from the surgical qualifications, Khitish holds an MSc degree in Orthopaedic Engineering.
Khitish is actively involved in training and teaching of surgeons and regularly teaches in the AO and ATLS courses. He also lectures in national and international meetings. Khitish is a faculty member of post graduate masters courses in Orthopaedics and Trauma. Khitish publishes regularly in peer reviewed journals and has recently written a book chapter in the Oxford Textbook of Orthopaedics and Trauma.
