Treatment and Payment for Self-pay Patients
Vale Healthcare provides private healthcare to patients with medical insurance / health insurance and those who self-pay.
You do not require medical insurance / health insurance to be treated at Vale Healthcare. Our services are also available to those patients who are self-funding.
There are normally two parts to payment at Vale Healthcare sites: When you attend for an out-patient consultation, the consultant will send you a bill for the consultation. Sometimes Vale Healthcare may contact you on behalf of the consultant for this bill. You will be charged separately for any tests and treatment you may receive.
In some cases, you will be given a fixed all-inclusive care price, which includes the consultation fee, the operation costs, nursing care, day room, physiotherapy, drugs, after-care and any further treatment necessary. This will not include your personal expenses, or tests / treatment not related to your original treatment.
For fixed all-inclusive care prices, we will require payment no less than five working days before your admission, or seven days before if you are paying by cheque.
