Visiting the Physiotherapist
The physiotherapist will first take a detailed history of your condition together with any relevant past medical history. A physical assessment will then be undertaken to determine the clinical diagnosis of your problem. The patient's movement will be analysed, which includes joint range of movement and strength assessment tests. From the results of this comprehensive analysis the physiotherapist can paint a picture of the causes of the injury problems.
The physiotherapist works closely at this clinic with the Consultants to ensure that a correct rehabilitation programme is implemented to ensure we correct any joint problems, improve core stability, strengthen local muscles, increase flexibility and improve proprioception. We look to manage the condition and prevent problems in the future.
