Dr Julian T Nash

Julian Nash is a private consultant rheumatologist at Vale Healthcare and a rheumatology consultant at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff, South Wales and at Llandough Hospital, Penarth, Vale of Glamorgan.  Julian graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine in Cardiff in 1990 and after several junior posts also in Cardiff he moved to London to pursue his rheumatology training.

Julian gained a PhD in the immunology of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus from the Royal Postgraduate Medical School at the Hammersmith Hospital in London and then after completing his training in rheumatology was appointed as a Consultant Rheumatologist at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore. After four years Mr Nash returned to Wales take up his current position.

Julian manages conditions within the full spectrum of rheumatology but has a specific interest in vasculitis and connective tissue disease and the use of the new biological drugs in the treatment of inflammatory disorders, particularly rheumatoid arthritis.  Due to his experience at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Mr Nash is also interested in the rheumatology/orthopaedic interface and has set up and run several combined specialist clinics.

Mr Nash is therefore happy to provide consultation on any rheumatological conditions in my private rheumatology clinic in Vale Healthcare, near Cardiff, South Wales.
