'One Stop' Urology Clinics Offering Rapid Diagnosis
The Urology Clinic at Vale Healthcare provides services to patients with problems of the urinary tract. We aim to provide a clinical diagnosis wherever possible in a ‘one stop’ visit.
All patients will be seen by consultants familiar with the assessment of common urological complaints and are also able to offer sub-specialist advice. Common patient concerns are listed below and recommendations to the GP for on-going management and treatment will be provided. If further tests are required these will be performed promptly to achieve a diagnosis and minimise anxiety.
- Prostate assessment - including prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment
- Haematuria (blood in urine / semen)
- Urinary Incontinence
- Recurrent urinary infection (cystitis)
- Kidney stone management
- Paediatric urology including circumcision, orchidopexy
- Testicular / Scrotal problems
- Female urology - specialist Urogynaecological Clinic

Vale Healthcare runs a specialist Male Genital and Reproductive Health Clinic, which sits witihin the field of Urology.
This speciality, also known as 'Andrology', is the branch of medicine that looks after the male sexual and reproductive function, and can be considered the male counterpart of Gynaecology.
Vale Healthcare is proud to run the only Male Genital and Reproductive Health Clinic in south Wales, located at our Cardiff Bay Clinic.
The specialist Male Genital and Reproductive Health Clinic is led by Mr Gareth Brown, a Consultant Urological Surgeon who specialises in this field of Urology.
