The Vale Sports Injury Clinic at Hensol, South Wales, and The Cardiff Bay Clinic is a dedicated private clinic for Wales developed to provide rapid access for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of sports injuries.
While many of our patients are elite athletes from many different sports, we take the same dynamic approach to benefit all individuals, whatever their level of sporting participation. From the Olympic athlete to weekend warrior; from the city worker to the industrial sportsman; or the perpetually active teenager to the robust retiree, the Vale Sports Injury Clinic can deliver tailored treatment and a sports rehabilitation plan specific to your sporting injury. Our aim is to help each individual to overcome their sporting injury and get them back to performing at their very best.
The Vale Sports Injury Clinic provides appointments on Mondays 4-7.30pm and Thursdays 4-6pm (at the Vale Physiotherapy Clinic, in Hensol, near Cardiff). Appointments with our sports injury specialists are 20 minutes long, and are only £20.
Assessment and treatment from experienced sports clinicians
Based at The Vale Sports Injury Clinic is a team of experienced Senior Chartered Physiotherapists who have been involved in sport at national and international level, at both Olympic and Commonwealth games.
The clinic can also provide you with sports medicine specialists who currently provide services to Wales' leading sporting organisations including the Welsh Rugby Union, Sports Council of Wales, Cardiff Blues, Ospreys and Dragons regional rugby teams and Cardiff City Football Club.
Easy access to the sports injury clinic allows patients to self refer or be referred by their specialist or GP. We are recognised by all major insurance companies.
Services available at the Vale Sports Injury Clinic
The Vale Sports Injury Clinic provides a specialist service to sports people and athletes at all levels in all sports. Clinics are run on Mondays and Thursdays, with appointments usually lasting 20minutes. These rapid access appointments are for immediate sports injuries, usually sustained within 48 hours of the appointment.
Any injuries or conditions outside of the above guidelines will require a physio / therapy appointment that will last 30minutes.

- Imaging Diagnostic Services including MRI and x-ray
Early diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries and aches and pains help speed recovery, prevents more serious problems from occurring, and may even prevent lost training or playing time.
